Cambridge, UK. 6 October 2005. –FotoInsight of Cambridge provides photo processing and a large range of gift items to consumers and businesses in the UK and Ireland since November 2003. The company announced today the start of its Italian service site. Over its first two years the business has expanded, selling photographic paper prints in Ireland and 20 other countries, with sites in three languages. The company started operating a German language site in June this year, apart from its original English language services. FotoInsight's photo processing service is backed by 20 production sites, strategically located throughout Europe. Customers can take advantage of the same low delivery charge to all 20 European destinations. Managing Director Klaas Brumann says: “The Italian photographic processing market is known for its high standards in print quality and its demanding consumers. We are very excited about FotoInsight’s expansion into Italy. We think Italian consumers and businesses will particularly appreciate our emphasis on quality and realistic colours.”
FotoInsight’s service uses unique cutting technology to provide photo printing to measure, allowing customers to upload any image format from square to 2:3 format (for example for 10 x 15 cm / 6”x4” prints), receiving the full, cleanly cut image with no need for cropping. FotoInsight also prints posters up to 50 x 75 cm (30”x20”) on quality photographic paper for less than €15.- / £10.- (plus p&p). According to Brumann sales of FotoInsight’s photo gifts range grew 360% year on year, driven by huge demand for its low price, high quality range of photographic calendars.
According to the FotoInsight management the online service stands out for the many conveniences it provides to its customers, who can upload through an Active-X site most digital image formats and even entire ZIP and RAR compressed folders. In addition FotoInsight caters for all mayor operating systems, including Macintosh as well as Netscape browser users with special upload facilities with no need for additional software. From Cambridge Brumann comments: “Photographic memories must never fade. Our technology is smarter, providing superior performance with maximum print quality and durability.”
